GetSafe is a no-fuss medical system. While they lack some key features and devices with other systems, they provide a simple and affordable way to keep yourself safe at home. GetSafe’s pricing plans work much differently than other medical alert systems with a fall monitor. Since you don’t have to wear the device, GetSafe builds its pricing plans based on the size of your home instead of the types of devices you get. GetSafe’s goal is to add devices to your home that you won’t have to wear to offer protection even when you aren’t wearing the device.

Currently, GetSafe features three distinct packages – Starter, Standard, and Select. Each of these plans comes with a monthly monitoring fee of $27.95 a month. These aren’t the cheapest plans you can get, but they are far from the most expensive. And considering the protection that GetSafe offers, it’s definitely worth it.

That said, all the plans also come with a one-time equipment cost. These systems are designed for self-installation, so it doesn’t come with any installation fee. The prices for the one-time equipment payout for each plan are as follows:

Features and Functionality

There are many features that come with GetSafe, and each of them can help you stay much safer and protected in your own home. So, let’s dive into all the features of devices that you can get on GetSafe and how they can work to protect you.

Monitoring

When it comes to monitoring, GetSafe’s basic plans won’t be that much help. This is because only the standard and select plans come with a free monitoring lanyard. On top of that, the lanyard only has fall-detection capabilities and doesn’t allow two-way communication in the event of an emergency.

Instead of monitoring vitals with a wearable device, GetSafe provides protection by allowing for an easy and effective way to call for help without a landline or internet connection.

However, there are monitoring add-ons available on the site, like a smoke detector. Again, real-time monitoring isn’t GetSafe’s strength, so it’s understandable that they don’t have many monitoring devices.

Alerts

The basic plans all come with a 4G LTE base station and a voice-activated wall button. The base station allows you to place emergency calls and features a reset button. The voice-activated button, aside from containing a button you can press for emergencies, also contains a speaker and a microphone so you can alert someone in the event of an emergency.

These buttons allow you to send alerts when there’s a medical emergency. That way, you don’t need an internet or landline connection to call for help in times of need. While these are the features that come with the plans, GetSafe also features you can add-ons you can buy to alert authorities in emergencies, such as a mobile GPS help button.

Home Automation

GetSafe has a unique take on home automation. This isn’t a smart system with a smart hub that connects to the internet. Instead, it’s a home system that won’t provide you with that much protection outside of the home.

GetSafe allows you to place calls and alert people during emergencies through their wall-mounted buttons. And while you get a 4G LTE base station, you don’t have an app that allows you to control or tweak the systems according to your needs.
